Bourbon Dinner

Tonight Michael Barnes and I are doing the Bourbon Dinner that we auctioned off at the SCM Santa Poker Night back in December.  We've got a great menu are really looking forward to serving it.  I will be taking pictures and will be posting the a full recap of the dinner sometime later this week.  It should be fun.

In other news, I'm working on putting together a comp of rockin' ballad-y songs by female artist.   So far I have:
  • Total Eclipse of the Heard by Bonnie Tyler
  • Angel of the Morning sung by Juice Newton
  • Alone by Heart
  • Hold On by Wilson Phillips
  • Eternal Flame by The Bangles
Anyone with other suggestions please comment...

ok, here's some.

i know you don't like fleetwood mac, but these are great songs: landslide and songbird (listen to them if you haven't heard them)

in the same vein, check out the duet by stevie nicks and don henley on the stevie nicks record, bella donna, leather and lace is the song title.

no sure if this counts but pat bennatar - love is a battlefield is a great song.

this is considered a christmas song, but i don't think it is just because it mentions christmas, joni mitchel - river.

finally, i know this is bette midler but if you haven't heard this song...oh brother...check it out: better midler - the rose
